And no. The military should be nationalistic. And as such, must also respect the religion of the nation from which it's compromised from.

I must tell you that fear was not kept within the soviet union by the red army, it was done by the police commisars, and those were the people who ordered people to be sent to gulags, and to decide which religious buildings to be demolished and used as barns.
