This whole issue seems pretty clear. The US has by far the highest number of privately owned firearms, almost double the next highest country. The US has the highest number of mass shooting in the world.
While the extent of gun ownership isn't the only factor in mass shootings, it is obviously a contributing factor. Where there are fewer guns, fewer people get shot.
