I am pro-abortion only in situations in which there is a possible danger to the mother or if a doctor says that an abortion would be safer for her.
I don't like the abortions which are done under normal circumstances (i.e. when a mother is healthy and physically capable of raising children). And in Islam, abortion is allowed under compulsion, in the same way that a Muslim is allowed to eat pork if he is lost in a jungle and that's the only food that he found after a long time (especially if he has to eat it to survive).
In terms of whose life is more important, I think that a mother's life is more important than a lump of cells or an even unborn child because she is already alive or has a greater chance of surviving, at least. And as some of you already mentioned, there are times when an abortion is necessary just based on the health of a pregnant woman. So, that's why I voted that abortion shouldn't be illegal.
