I will hold my nose and vote for who ever is running against Trump. I would vote for a homeless drunk living in a box under an overpass over Trump. But my preference is a moderate like Biden. Joe is a good and honorable man and of all the candidates, is my favorite.
I would love to see a woman President but I don't think we have a good field this time around. I think Hillary would have been great but I don't see any of the the current female candidates as compelling.
After Hillary's loss I don't think we'll see a female President any time soon. Then again, I don't really care if we do, or don't. You could be a purple, transsexual, Muslim Martian for all I care - if you're fit for the job you're fit for the job.
My reasoning here is that women are 50% of the population. I feel it is absolutely untenable that women of any race are so under-represented. The male-dominated paradigm MUST end. I am a man but this problem is crystal-clear obvious to me.
People of great skills like engineers, physicians and political leaders are of great value. How can we possibly justify throwing away half of them because of antiquated stereotypes?
We have all kinds of problems but IMHO, throwing away the the talents of women is chief amongst them.
Yes, I too am most concerned that the next President of the USA will embody the skills we need to move forward and IMHO, that's Joe Biden. However, I would REALLY like to see a woman POTUS because IMHO, it's important. As bad as racism is, I think sexism is worse. We need to come to full realization that the female members of our species are fully as capable as the male members.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
