You will find ignorance no matter where you go. Talking to people about religion can be tough. Sexuality can be even tougher.

To me, I have little interest, or patience for, talking to people about religion who dont have the slightest clue about what they actually believe. You can rest assured that most Christians in the US specifically dont know what they believe. Go out and ask ten Christians about different stories from the bible... Youll get a lot of "i dont know" and "im not sure" and "i just believe in being a good person." Most people here just call themselves Christian out of tradition or politeness.

As far as sexuality... Im not gonna debate with someone about it. Ive never in my life had a problem with homosexuality or trans people. Its those damn pans you gotta worry about

But in all seriousness, I just dont get it. Ill admit im not super up to date on all of the lingo and concepts about gender identity. And my privilelege allows me to not care. And im cool with that.

You might find that talking about religion and sexuality and other hot button issues isnt worth it. Thats why many people are relegated to coming in here to discuss such issues.

Interestingly, my eldest is trans. I have no problem with it. It appears that the religious do have a problem with it.
