I think I made this point earlier. As I’ve learned more about atheists it seems to me most (some) of them don’t just lack belief in God but have a hatred for the non-god they don’t believe in.
And, at the same time lacking any confirmation bias, of course.
I have never seen a coherent description of what a god is. I think this is because believers don't really have much of an idea of what one is so cant put it across.
From what I can tell the Abrahamic god is a mix of ancestor worship, explanations for intangible concepts, pre-scientific reasons why things happen, wishful thinking and crowd control.
That's what I see when I see the word god.
If you think god is a thing then explain what it is, what its made of, how it does the stuff its supposed to do, where it came from.
You know, the things you would demand of literally everything else.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
