Though Saturday is named for Saturn, and Sunday and Monday are named for the sun and moon, we still latched onto Woden’s Day, Thor’s Day, Freya’s day, and Tiw’s day (though some of them are the germanicised versions, specifically Tiw and Woden).
Christianity has had an extreme impact on the way we look at things, even as it loses its relevance, but the Julian/Gregorian calendar is a bad example.
