As I understand it, the Quran is only truly understandable in Arabic, so even a side-by-side English translation does you no good.

I am anticipating the argument that only the Arabic translation is true. I want to know why I should accept the original Arabic translation. I also want to know why I own a translation well accepted in the Muslim community.
