The question isn’t whether they had sex. There is no need to give any weight to any of bullshit with which Christianity sought through the ages to browbeat the feeble minded, or worse, lie, drich. If there was a progeny before the 20th century, there was sex. So there can be no question that if there was any individual or individuals behind the character Jesus, sexual reproduction was to blame for each one of those.
The question that might be of interest would is sex be-tween whom produced that individual, or individuals.
It could be part of the jesus tale to traceable to sex between Joseph and Mary. But perhaps between Mary and someone else. Or between two completely different individuals and only ascribed to Mary through some deceit for reasons now lost to time.
