And as such you also have British ancestry whether you choose to acknowledge that or not.
Perhaps the fact that I know I have mixed ancestry forces me to confront the fact that I have ancestors on both sides of a vast number of conflicts across history whilst others have been able to pretend that that doesn't apply to them, but whatever.
