-but there's the rub...I actually don't believe anything I like.  I couldn't, and still be a nice enough fellow.  Genuinely and deeply held beliefs are consequential...no matter what they are.

Theism is a very specific genuinely and deeply held belief, with a long enough history of consequence to be predictable.


Do you mean that you hold beliefs that you don’t like, or that you don’t act on the beliefs you hold?
