My boss is one of those people who mostly uses speaker phone and does that weird hold the phone flat out in front of his mouth thing instead of using his headphone/mic combination or actually holding the phone next to his head. To make that more annoying he paces the hallway during those conversations meaning that he is passing by my door every couple of minutes.

They are great! I can listen to music and podcasts as well as voice mail and phone calls and no one's the wiser. I usually have the ringer off though because it startles the hell out me when it goes off directly in my ears.
I can also turn them on mute with an app on my phone basically turning the hearing aids into noise cancelling headphones. Sometimes technology really is wonderful.
