I quite simply don't believe you. Quitting nicotine is a chemical process with predictable side effects. So, either you were such a light smoker that the side effects of quitting were easy to ignore, or you are just downplaying the effect within yourself through some self-delusion.
I understand your skepticism, but I swear on my mother's life it is the truth. We've had it drilled into us that quitting smoking is HAAAARD! - that's part of the brainwashing. I was a 30 a day smoker. Nicotine withdrawals are mild - that's the important thing to bear in mind - where as knowing you've smoked your last cigarette and are FREE from the dreadful slavery of smoking feels joyous and fantabulously wonderful! - especially during those first few weeks! - so on balance you feel bloody great, despite the mild physiological twitch of nicotine withdrawals. I'm not going into this further now - read/listen to the book and rid your mind of the smoking addiction enigma. Also please suspend your incredulity rather than calling me a liar until, at least, you have done so. There is a reason Allen Carr is fucking famous - because, for many, Easy Way is, quite literally, a lifesaver.
