Well, this flamed and died rather quickly. Here’s the answers:
1. John F. Kennedy, Marco Polo, John Lennon, and Batman are all names of airports.
2. The town in Norfolk is called Diss. So, as you get close to it, Diss appears.
3 & 4. Arewethereyet stole my thunder on these two. And broke my heart. *sniffle*
5. The British coin called a ‘guinea’ was named for the region in Africa (Guinea) where the gold to make the coin was mined.
