No, but maybe if (for example) the woman who left a loaded gun on the seat of her car had been sent to prison for a few years for negligent homicide after one of her children killed the other, more people might take more care with their firearms.
Just trying to point out that there may be better ways than gun control to reduce gun violence.

You can be held civilly and criminally liable if your gun is used illegally. You don't have a lack of laws - you have a lack of judges enforcing those laws.
