When I was in Egypt the last time, I got mugged by a taxi driver and when I asked a cop in the street to help me resolve the problem,I remember his exact words to this day: "دا عداد ميري ما بيخربش ولا بيغش" / "This is a military counter that doesn't cheat"
Welcome to AF
The Sphinx’s nose was gone before Napoleon was born.

Actually for having the largest Egyptian archeological stuff in a foreign country like Britain; you should raise a lot of questions:
https://www.britishmuseum.org/learn/scho...ient-egypt
Quote:The Museum holds the largest collection of Egyptian objects outside Egypt telling the story of life and death in the ancient Nile Valley.
The country is held under a corrupt military dictatorship, and I was there during the revolution of 2011. Decent Egyptians stood against the military dictatorship and overthrew its leader -Husni Mubarak- but lost and fell with the advent of a new dictator called "Al-Sisi".
Hey; that military dictatorship sold half of the country and its culture to foreign powers -especially Britain-.
The smell of garbage killed me because the military cares not about cleaning streets, neither does it pay to restore the country's heritage.
But a new revolution is coming indeed

I WILL make it to Egypt one day. I have a love of archaeology.
I will be waiting. I fly there every once and a while.
