This is why it's silly to blame God for anything.
There is no reason at all to believe that a God has ever employed people to do anything.
And if we can't blame God for murders, then we have to look for other causes. The vast majority of organized killing in the world has been done for power, and especially the control of resources.
This continues in our own time, funded by our tax money, justified with (usually) non-religious ideology.
