This whole dichotomy between waiting for a vaccine and dying for the dow is absurd. That has to be said. Those were never our only options and they aren't our only options now. The more we fuck up, though, the further we push ourselves to that circumstance.
The herd immunity song and dance is being employed as a euphemism for acceptable death. Acceptable, so the claim goes, to prevent even worse economic misery. Sweden never shut down at all, this didn't prevent their economy from cratering.
