One of my younger brothers builds and crashes RC planes very well. I think his record is 5 seconds. it was windy as hell, and his friend launched it into the wind. It went up maybe twenty feet, did a wing over(?) and augured in. Well, maybe it was about 1 second. That same friend was an absolute star at flying RC planes. We were out flying (well, I was watching- I can't even drive a curb-pheromone-sniffing RC car for shit, I ain't trying for 3D) one of his planes. His friend took it up and trimmed out the controls. The wind was blowing like a bitch that day, too. It was blowing hard enough that he was able to bring the plane down right next to where we were standing and land it. He then leaned over and picked it up and killed the engine. Never seen anything like that in my life, and likely never will again. Amazing.
