Atheist is simply the answer to the question, "Do you believe in a god or gods?" There are no doctrines or covenants to atheism. Atheism is a religion like bald is a hair color.
There is one bit of wisdom from Aleister Crowley that might provide some comfort, "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. Love is the law, love under will. There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt."
