I was religious and the hardest part for me about leaving the faith was believing that hell wasn't real.
So even though I knew in my heart that it was all bullshit, I still feared hell for many years.
That is the amazing power of brainwashing.
I always knew it as 'everyone else is taken', but yours works even better I think.
