In order to "have an amount of knowledge" the "being" must have had some experience, a way to gain that knowledge, a way to process that knowledge and experience time for all of those aspects.
We know of one way those attributes can be attained and that is to exist in a physical universe and experience time with interactions with other agencies and indeed to be able to process it would have had to have evolved from a lesser being that had less ability to process information....
And where did god get all the stuff?
