I'm still against the dictators of the ME to the core; I still want to see every one of them pay and get trialed and get the guillotine , Erdogan is having a war right now against Assad and against Haftar and against SISI. So he doesn't look as bad as you picture him to be.
So if a few military officers and troops were plotting a coup, why did tens of thousands of civil servants, teachers, and members of opposition parties also get detained, lose their jobs, and end up with many restrictions placed on them?
In addition to everything else he has done, he is making war on the Kurds, the most effective fighters against ISIS. They were also betrayed by Trump.
He is making war on the PKK (not the Kurds); the PKK is a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union, the U.S too:
