Firstly, you are no better than a plant, they offer oxygen and have more use to this planet then we. No such things as lower lifeforms in my view, just different and less destructive, so quite possibly better.
There is no such thing as a soul.
God is the one who maintains this planet, and He is the one that gives the increase to the plants and so forth. As far as value, we are more valuable to God than any other lifeform. He created human beings in His image. No other creation of His has this distinction.
