Satan wasn't lying to Eve and in truth, he seems to be the only one that ever gave a shit about the human race. Did Lucifer build hell? Nope. Is Lucifer threatening to send me to Hell? Nope. Hands down, not even close - christianity has brought me nothing but misery. If I was to support any fictional character from the Book of Lies - it would HAVE to be Lucifer. Seems really obvious.
Satan doesn't care about you, or any human. He hates humans because they're in the image of God. He deceived Eve so he could get to Adam and enslave him and get dominion over Earth. That is why Satan is the ruler of this world. Satan fell because of pride; he was jealous of God and wanted to replace him. "I will be like the Most High" Satan wants to be God, he desires worship. He is no friend to humanity and is going to bend it to his will when the antichrist comes to power.
