Think about it. At least he's consistant. As long as he keeps spouting stupidity - people know to ignore what he says. If he suddenly started making sense and telling how things really are - we would have no way of knowing what's bullshit.
Tis true - if he had at the very beginning of the outbreak advocated for mask wearing - there would be a shitload of people assuming it was bad advice and would not wear them. "Trump sez to wear masks? Fuck him - he's an idiot"....
