I'm going off my impression of the films when I first saw them and I haven't revisited either since. I thought Colin Farrell was a sad replacement for the Governator. At times he appeared to barely wanted to be in the movie. The entire character of the later movie was different and left me with a lack of any coherent feel for where the film was taking me. Say what you want about Schwarzenegger's lack of range, but his presence works in a film that is geared for it.
Why is it so?
