Other than my time at university, I’ve never been without pets, and it never fails to tear me up when I lose one. That said, all the best friends I’ve had have always been of the people kind.

Did I say that humans are the only key to friendship? Did I even imply that? No. I said that no pet I’ve ever had was my BEST friend. I count myself fortunate to have had quite a few friends, some are pets and some are people.
