How do you know that it is God you have a relationship with and not a spirit capable of deceiving you? Ditto for the works.
It seems like anyone who looks hard enough does find God...no matter what God it is they were looking for. Yahweh, Brahma, Legba...it appears if you look for any of them hard enough, you will be rewarded with a 'spiritual experience'.
So, if we believe in God, we'll believe in God. Any religion can deliver on that claim, and Jainism has superior morals. Why should we try to convince ourselves of Christianity instead of Jainism? Because the one you believe says we'll roast if we pick a different one?
