The question is still valid, however.
Truth is inherently an aspect of God (much like beauty, or justice, or mercy, or forgiveness).
And so, it is not so much a case of God is unable to lie, so much as it is "the truth can't be false" - to suggest otherwise would be a logical fallacy.
Hmmm..... thinking of a flood, a couple of erased towns and an unnecessary trick (lie) with a snake.
And lets not forget the bears eating kids.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
