This makes it extra disappointing for me that they changed things around....
It's the first time in history when they could make a movie with all the homoerotic elements intact and get away with it. In other words, the first time in history when they could even possibly make an accurate movie -- and they choose not to do so.
I mean, I can sort of understand it when opera producers set Don Giovanni in outer space or something weird, because presumably we've all seen non-weird versions of it. But there has never been an accurate Dorian Gray.
