I find it ironic that what was supposed to be a "gotcha" question actually turns out to say more about Walter99's beliefs. Namely that they need someone else to tell them what they believe in order to confirm it. At least, that's the implication I got from this; if I can't prove that I believe what I believe, then the answer must be I need authority to define me for me. Which says all kinds of things about what we're really defining as faith and the importance of obedience versus free will.
