Chauvin chose not to testify. In such a case with abundant video plus tons agreement that his actions were beyond the scope of duty, and on top of even his own medical witness as a defense, agreed that it was Chauvin's duty to render aid sooner than when Floyd actually got it in the ambulance. Maybe the lawyer was saying "You are in a bad spot, lets just hope for hung jury, don't open yourself up for questioning."
