That said - Do I think Chauvin got a fair trial? No. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Such was simply not possible because of the media's nonstop biased coverage. They had 10 months to form the opinion of any potential jury pool - and to make sure any seated jury knew that the only acceptable outcome was "guilty on all counts". Riots and burning the town down were the price for anything else.

Now - the question you failed to ask - Do I think Chauvin was guilty?

ABSOLUTELY.

He killed George Floyd.

He should do 20 years - for negligent manslaughter.

But murder? Nope. I don't think he ever actually intended to kill anyone -- but he did.

He does need to pay for that.
