I got a text this morning from a childhood friend of my son. I spent a lot of time providing him with a calm place to be when his parents were not being parents.
He wished me a happy Mother's Day and thanked me for being there for him when he was a kid....awwww. He's a fine young man now with a growing family of his own. It was unexpected and very appreciated to receive that message.
