I get that, I do. However..and the rule of howevers being that you can discard anything before the however.....think of us like an infection, like a fungal colony. Like an algal bloom. There's no point at which more of us is a bad thing -for us-. A bad thing for earth? Sure. A bad thing for everything else? Sure. Even, in some conceptual sense, a bad thing for any one of us? Maybe...but..... population genetics doesn't give a shit about an individual. Just as population genetics deosn't care if you...personally...starve to death from overpopulation, it also doesn't give a shit if some group of people, large or small..are completely enslaved for effect.
Abrahamic religion is a fit idea regardless of whether it's true. It would be advantageous to imprison and control the breeding population, even if it wouldn't be right to do so.
The god botherer seems to believe as much, anyway, and we should believe him when he tells us what he is. When he imagines what would be true -of him- if he stopped believing in his childish god, we can trust that he would do all of that, that's how he'd see it, and we cant make an evolutionary argument against it. Have at it buddy, is all we can truly say. You do you, dodge the bullets, and maybe one day you'll have a harem. It's worked out that way for other people, after all.
The malthusian dream is the same claim, at it's base. Control of the breeding population, high numbers or low. Our islamist friend is only indicating that it would be advantageous to him if he could make a few million more of him. He's right, and he's also (embarrasingly) human.
