New religions start all the time. Fifteen or so years ago the Catholic Diocese of Atlanta had one of their lawyers send a vague letter to a traditional Catholic group in the area over the latters' use of the word "Catholic". The letter did not even rise to the level of being a legal DOA; I have always wondered if the lawyer in question was not disbarred.

The United States is the best place on the Planet to start a new religion; all it takes is a web address and a PayPal account!
