We're definitely putting things back..the way we found them.  Dancing boys, routine human rights abuse, corruption, the whole islamist kit and kaboodle.  

If you think we have proxies there to do work for us in our absence, well..that was also true before the invasion.  I guess the fact that the taliban seeks to act like just such a proxy going forward is a change.

I advise you to return to your hole, and fight the Oligarch wing + bankers who ate the flesh of America.
If Biden's party stopped invasions and murdering of innocents in imperialistic wars; this shameful day could've been avoided for the U.S.

It's going to be interesting seeing how they reestablish and maintain their rule - and their current positioning in the theatre of the mind seems to suggest that they're aware of the difficulties they'll face.  They'll be dealing with a populace whose economy was built up (by the heathen foreign invader) over four times larger, with skyrocketing numbers of children in schools, particularly girls in schools.

They either realize and continue those gains - or they resort to brutal oppression.  Anyone taking bets.  Winter, what do you think?  Are the taliban going to say "yeah, lets continue to liberalize and westernize our populace"....or.....?

Honestly, human beings have a trait of showing "ego" and believing they are super; and that what scares me from any victory by the weak.
I don't believe in "westernizing"; but I believe every human is free to live like they want with the statement of the Quran itself:

Western politics hurt millions of people; you are not hurt because you're in the west but I am bleeding.
Western economics cause hunger and misery to the weak (Africa; anyone?).
Western imperialism caused Vietnam, then Iraq, and now Afghanistan.

I smell a big, nasty immortality.

It sounds as though you want to swap Western imperialism for Islamist imperialism. I’d be grateful if you could explain how that’s better.
