Interesting how just about every apologist uses this same lame cop-out when they can't actually explain their deity's actions. It's really just a re-hatch of "mysterious ways"

"mysterious ways" just means, we don't know how God does things, not that God's ways are intentionally obfuscated from us. It is entirely possible to gain a deeper understanding of God's ways, through very deliberate introspection. Of course, most people are not willing to do this kind of introspection, so a lot of people blame their own ignorance on God, calling His "mysterious ways" into question, with derision.
