I agree, but how far do you want to take it? I agree with mask mandates and vaccine mandates. But Boru said he wished my cab driver would die.
Perfect example, I agree if hospital staff get fired for not getting vaccinated fine. If my cab driver had been fired for not getting vaccinated, same thing. But how does that constitute wishing anyone death?
I do agree however, like when the parents were threatening school administrators and civil servants got arrested, sure.
But there is no way you could get me to agree that my cab driver, or even my family deserve death.
Like I said, I blame the cult leaders of these conspiracy crap more than I blame those who follow them. I blame Trump and Fox News and other right wing conspiracy rags that prey upon fear.
Even outside this pandemic, back in my youth, trying to fit in, I did lots of stupid crap and made lots of bad decisions that if I had been caught, I could have done some serious time. But none of what I did would have deserved death.

There comes a time when you need to stop blaming other people.

You say that about a person you have never met.
Does she hold bad positions? ABSOLUTLY. But again, Humans cannot simply beat the shit out of each other as a species when we see bad behavior. If I took your attitude I would have wished death on my late mother. My late mother voted for Reagan, Bush Sr, Bush Jr, McCain and Romney. I hated that she did that. But she was also a person who ALWAYS to her last days was always concerned about me always took care of me.
Vicki is her name, my cab driver. She's been giving me rides for a few years now. Now if you want me to believe she is intentionally evil, forget it. I do think the powers that sold her that crap are evil, I'll agree.
Otherwise if we are to be logically consistent, then after we defeated Japan and Germany, after WW2, the allies should have executed their entire populations.
Compassion isn't about revenge. Accountability isn't about revenge. I hate that Vicki was in denial. I hate that my family is in denial. But they are also not in power.
Trump and DeSantis belong in prison just on the pandemic subject alone. But I am not willing to condemn every single person who bought their crap. I hope Vicki survives. But I am quite sure, if she does, she is going to make statements of regret as well.
Now, unless you are willing to say, "Brian, you shoot shoot her yourself" and I hope you are not that depraved, then all this is on your part is a frustration, all be it a justified frustration, then all you are doing is acting out of fear too.
I agree with vaccine mandates, and mask mandates, but why did you go as far as wishing death on someone you have never met?
I am no fan of "Fight fire with fire".
I don’t need to have met her. I know what she did. It’s nothing personal; I’d like all the unvaccinated to die, so the rest of us - you know, the ones that actually give a shit about other people - can get back to normal.
I don’t really give a fuck about what positions she holds. I care about the actions she took and the actions she failed to take. And, to be honest, I’m tired of hearing about your mother.
Put it another way. Since Vicki knew the risks of not getting the vaccine, she did this to herself. I wish her success in her suicide.
