If god can't lie, does that mean he can't do everything?

There is only one thing to learn, and that is, that we must rely on God for all our needs.

Good parents encourage their kids to learn, grow up and become self-sufficient.

And I see no point in relying on a god that would drown virtually everything on Earth in a tragicomically failed attempt to get rid of evil.  If such a god actually did exist, it would be folly to trust in it.

Well I didn't say God was a good parent.......maybe he's a bad parent. Good or bad, parents don't always succeed in raising self-sufficient people. The children/teenagers are free to make their own choices. But the role of parent, is not important, in this case. God is not so much a parent, as a motivational speaker, or life coach. He doesn't give you the tools you need to succeed, like a parent would, but instead, encourages you to remember that you already have all the tools you need, and that what you must do, is ACT. Carrying out a plan of action, is what God wants to see from you. God loathes stagnation, laziness, self-doubt.

But anyway.......perhaps the Flood did get rid of certain kinds of evil?
