Its a thing in your head doing things in your head, specifically, the thought which, when apprehended, makes you feel the way you do. That's how it works for atheists too.
I'm not actually talking about allfairies, in case it wasn't clear, I don't believe in them - complaining that gods aren't a thing will be lost on me. I'm discussing the mental object, which shouldn't be an issue for you, as mental objects - like hot dogs, music, or tomatos..or indeed any other.....thing....can be gods - according to you.
