Laws like that are already on the books. That's what remington is being sued over, and it's gone all the way to the supremes already.
Swords are sold as novelties or collectors items. Archery is a sport. When gun manufacturers went all in on that "kill the bad guy coming for you in your home" shit....they put themselves in legally perilous territory. They knew it then, too..but the money was just too good.
I'm reminded of a gentleman at the wagon wheel flea market back in the 90's, sold swords, knives, canes with knives in em...his stall was hilariously and usefully called Not Weapons.
