I don’t think that’s legally possible or ethically supportable. You can’t select one class of legal product out of thousands and hold the manufacturer responsible for that product’s criminal misuse.
Suppose I make a bomb out of chemical fertilizer and blow up a building, killing dozens of people and injuring hundreds more. Is DowAgro responsible for those deaths and injuries?
Why should guns be treated differently than other products?

Admittedly due to our litigious society, but companies are held accountable if someone is hurt from a foreseeably dangerous use of their product that they failed to warn the customer about. That's why all these warning stickers on products. It's not far removed from that.
