So, they have decided that Jesus’s birth is a magical thing.
Is it possible that ancient jews believed that the woman just plays the role of a box, an incubator, a uterus? I don’t think they were aware about the egg that mammal females have.
Perhaps they believed that the children are 100% that of the father.
So perhaps, Jesus is not a half human-half god thing for the ancient christians.
That is what they believed about kids, yes - but, the reason that jesus birth is a magical thing was to fulfill a misinterpretation of a jewish prophecy.
Sex was regarded as dirty because of a sub-current of gnostic belief, people who felt that they were trapped here in this prison world in their prison bodies, sex being the prime example of the filthiness of flesh.
There where alot of things that jesus became that jesus wasn't to the first jesusists. You can blame paul and the gentiles for that. Heaven, hell, immortal souls, demigod saviors. All that noise was service to a target market.
Which prophecy? I know that there is a line about the messiah and that he is suppose to be from the line of David and Solomon.
Matthew 1:1 gives a long list of begats and claims that Jesus is the son of Joseph and so, Jesus is from the line of David and Solomon.
Luke 3.23 does the same thing. The lists given by Matthew and Luke are not the same.
But Matthew 1:18 and Luke 1:27 claim that it was a virgin birth, therefore, Joseph is not the father.
Mark makes no such list. Mark does not mention the father of Jesus but does mention Mary. It mentions that James, Joses, Juda are Jesus’s brother and that Jesus has sisters.
There isn’t anything about a virgin birth in Mark.
John 1:44 mentions that the father of Jesus is Joseph.
John 6:42 mentions that the father of Jesus is Joseph.
John doesn’t name the mother of Jesus.
There isn’t anything about a virgin birth in John.
This gives me evidence that christianity is a merged religion of 2 or more sects. One group wanted Joseph to be the father bc of the OT line about the messiah being in the line of David and Solomon.
Another group disliked the idea of sex.
Yes, I have noticed that a portion of the books are from Paul.

Probably, some more of it is from him as well.
