Sure. You seem to love definitions so what is a definition of a "black man"? Is it that he is a man and black? But then again some black men are paler than some white people. Or that he is good at basketball and dancing?
There are a lot of arbitrary divisions out there that can be useful in some situations (and misused in other), but that don't have a clear definition, especially when it comes to people. People can't be defined by a dictionary and usually find it offensive.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
