I’m still waiting for you to tell us what you’ve learned from reading through the available body of scientific literature on the subject, which is obviously a more accurate assessment of said subject than one or two people’s personal opinions, no matter who they are. We aren’t even talking about what does or doesn’t constitute transphobia right now. Why are you veering off into another direction?  Whether or not a straight man is comfortable having a sexual relationship with trans women, and whether or not a straight man’s feelings on the matter constitute transphobia have absolutely nothing to do with the actual existence of trans women. Your point is a non-sequitur. Very telling that you’ll take the time to sift through YouTube videos in search of some “gotcha” clip, but you won’t take the time to familiarize yourself with the body of scientific evidence on the matter. Your methodology for understanding transgenderism is biased and flawed. Go do some actual research (you’ve had like, three days now) and try again.

What Rev Rye presented included absolutely zero data. For instance, previous to 1973 homosexuality was diagnosed as a disorder, in 1973 that diagnosis was removed based on a VOTE.


Likewise The American Psychiatric Association renaming of what they considered a disorder (based on science) in 2013, had absolutely nothing to do with scientific data.

DSM-V To Rename Gender Identity Disorder 'Gender Dysphoria'

The newest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM, will replace the diagnostic term “Gender Identity Disorder” with the term “Gender Dysphoria,” according to the Associated Press.

For years advocates have lobbied the American Psychiatric Association to change or remove categories labeling transgender people in a psychiatric manual, arguing that terms like “Gender Identity Disorder” characterize all trans people as mentally ill. Based on the standards to be set by the DSM-V, individuals will be diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria for displaying “a marked incongruence between one’s experienced/expressed gender and assigned gender.”

Therefore the change of the diagnosis was in no way based on science, and seems more likely that they were paid by LBGT organizations to make the change.
