I don't know what percentage of the overall black population make money through criminal means, but it damn sure ain't 50%. Maybe criminality correlates with unemployability? Whodathunk....

Yes, people make money through criminal activity when legitimate employment is closed to them (It's pointed out that "(47%) said they had experienced an adverse job outcome, such as being fired, not hired or denied a promotion" because of their gender identity.) And if it's higher (which it almost certainly is), maybe that would suggest other factors. And speaking of which...

So, how much of it is because of mental illness? I only ask because study after study has shown that, given gender-affirming care, mental illness tends to go down dramatically in trans folk. Maybe they're mentally ill because their gender isn't being validated? Have you considered that?

Proportion of black trans folk with an annual income below 10k: 34%, close to 4 times higher than the black population as a whole (9%). Indeed, this is more than twice as high as the rate for trans folk in general (15%)

As mentioned before, 50% of the black trans in this survey were making money though criminal activity, which i'm sure is not being counted as legitimate "income".
Looking at the overall numbers, it appears that the majority of trans make $40k or above, which leads me to believe that this is a racial issue, and not a trans issue.

Given that $40k is still significantly lower than the $60,624 that was the median household income for Americans that year, and, indeed, is slightly lower than the median household income for black Americans that year ($41,239), this isn't much of a rebuttal.
