Don't ask the internet for advice on your fire alarm. If it's not a battery issue, it's a failure indicator. The tone should be lower and it won't have the same pattern as it does when it detects smoke. There's a super annoying way to test this which involves setting off your detector, resetting your detector with brand new high quality backup batteries...then testing the batteries charge when it goes off - as well as the tone.
But....... you shouldn't be asking the internet for advice about your malfunctioning fire alarm. You should have it professionally serviced by factory trained technicians...or replace it.
