I love fantasy, too, dragons, warp drives, fairies, etc.; it can all be very entertaining . Doesn't make any of it real. Absent entertainment, there is a real opportunity cost with investing one's time and energy in such things as opposed to doing something else. Going to church, for instance, would mean not doing something else, things that I really want to do but don't have time to do.
